Rooms
Room types and physical rooms—sellable inventory.
Room types define sellable inventory; physical rooms sit under each type. Add and edit both on Rooms (requires room:manage).
A type needs a name, code, base rate, and occupancy. Edit a type to change its code. The code must stay unique in that hotel. Rooms, rates, and stays stay attached to the type. Creating a physical room updates inventory counts for future dates.
Skip out-of-order and out-of-service rooms when auto-planning stays. Housekeeping status lives on the room and on the housekeeping board.
Taxes and fees are not set here—use Property settings. Nightly calendars are on Rates.
How to
- Add a room type (name, code, base rate, occupancy).
- Add rooms under that type (number and floor).
- Set BAR nightly rates on Rates; FLEX/NRF derive from that calendar.
